Dark Ascension Game Day

E-mail Print PDF

Game Days are the first opportunity for you to play Standard on a global scale with the newest cards.

Where Can I Play?

Downtown Ogden and Layton locations!

What Happens There?

Game Days are Standard format tournaments.  That means, essentially the same as FNM with new prizes.

What Do I Get?

All participants receive an exclusive Strangleroot Geist card (while supplies last). The Top 8 players also each receive an exclusive Zombie Apocalypse extended-art prize card (while supplies last). These cards are awarded to the Top 8 players even if the tournament cuts only to the Top 4. In addition, the first-place finisher at Dark Ascension Game Day will receive an exclusive playmat.

What Does a "Standard Deck" Mean?

The Standard format uses only the newest sets the game has to offer. The current block, the block that was released the previous fall, and the most recent core set or sets are all legal to play in a Standard deck. Sets currently legal in Standard are: Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Besieged, New Phyrexia, Magic 2012, Innistrad, and Dark Ascension.
